What I find noteworthy about this post-quantum solution for Bitcoin is that it doesn't try to force Bitcoin to change. This means users don't need to worry about their coins being frozen, don't need to wait for votes, and don't need to move assets through a new system. This is quite important, as currently about 34% of the circulating Bitcoin supply is considered vulnerable to future quantum attacks. While many other proposals are still debating how to handle this, this solution focuses on protecting assets beforehand, rather than waiting for the entire network to change.
