in designing our launchpad, people kept telling me to optimize for "distribution" - let people ape in SOL, work w/ KOLs, etc.
@mtncapital_ ended up raising more than 10x the NAV of the biggest fund on our degen-focused competitor
this reaffirmed my conviction:
capital markets aren't built on moonboys with 1 SOL and a dream, they're built on incentives and high-quality assets
I will continue to optimize for high-quality allocators – either good traders or people who want to hold for the long run – and high-quality founders. I want to create tokens that I would want to hold and a capital market that I would want to raise from
distribution is important too – @metanallok and I DMed more than 400 people about $MTN – but I think of distribution less as generating hype / FOMO and more as explaining why this is a +EV bet
